The Zafira's rear door loom enters towards the bottom of the door (not half way up like an Omegas') & so consequently is used as a step by young kids. The lad across the road was repairing one for a mate. Vauxhall does a repair kit for them, it consists of half a dozen 12" long wires with a (http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/connectors/images/5962.gif) on the end, a socket for them to go in & the flexi rubber conduit from door to B post

I wouldn't have paid it ..... I'd have used someone like http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/home/homepage.php for the bits.

Not sure about dumb, but my nephew has done so in the past in FIL Zafira - he pulled the plug so no central locking etc on that door.

The loom does hang down but its not easy to get and hardly anything there to get a foot on :y

Depends how big your foot is. Anyway, the upshot is, Vx do a kit for when/if the loom breaks at the socket/plug. A two year old's foot disconnected the loom from the door of the FIL's Zafira.
