Title: Some fantastic Valleys news!
Post by: Seth on 08 March 2013, 13:11:58
Yes indeed ...  ;) ;) ;) ...

Eden, our sports-mad teenage grand-daughter was recently selected to play for the Wales U17 national netball squad at the Netball Europe tournament in Malta today, tomorrow and Sunday - a fantastic achievement and always an honour to represent your country.
She flew out with her team mates on Wednesday, whilst Mrs Seth (Gran) and Mum (eldest daughter) arrived on the Mediterranean isle on Tuesday.

A recent piccie of the team.

So whilst many Welsh folk will be firmly focussed on the rugby at Murrayfield tomorrow, the entire Seth family will be anxiously awaiting news from Malta.

Go do your stuff girl! :y :y :y

'Twas the Scottish team that was defeated earlier ... according to a garbled 'txt msge' ... and they take on the English squad tomorrow (Sat) :)

And here's Eden's 89 year-old jubilant great-grandfather upon hearing the good news:

Dead right Vamps, and thanks a million! :y

And her achievement is all the more poignant as she was involved in a serious RTA a few years back.
Our little star spent some weeks in hospital with serious multiple fractures to her lower right leg after being run down after getting off her school bus.
Months of physiotherapy and expert coaching by her mother (eldest daughter) has certainly paid dividends.

We then took her for a little holiday after release from hospital:

... and here's Eden in action soon after our arrival on Gower.
Ain't no stopping her!

A proud result, not just for the Seths, but for all of Wales. Well done ladies :y

I'm sure all the parents and relatives are very proud of the individual performances as well, and I'm sure the long suffering Pamela (well, she has to live with that Seth fella ;D) is every bit as proud as all the others.

Safe trip back :y

Thank you all very much for all your lovely comments on our little star's (and of course, the Welsh team's) sterling efforts. Sincerely. :y

Young Eden and the team arrived back home yesterday evening (Mon); and she's returned to school this morning, bless her! :o

Mrs Seth and her mummam (our eldest daughter) are scheduled to touch-down in Gatwick late this evening.

Thanks again everyone! ;)
