Brother in law bought one  few weeks ago for his focus.

Save your money mate

I bought a Maxiscan GS509 to talk to my wife's Smart. IIRC I paid around £80 for it, though there are some on eBay but some are £120odd and others £40/£50  :-\ :-\ No idea what the difference is.
It seemed OK for the few times it's been used ..... & that's been on a couple of OBDII Vauxhalls & a Fiat. Not tried it on my Merc

Works on a wide range of vehicles engine box abs and airbag with live graphs and all that.

Use mine quite alot.

I know what 509 looks like  ::) ::) ::) http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=maxiscan+509&_sacat=0&_from=R40  ;) ;)

But I wish I had a Maxiscan 702  :(

Don't buy an OBD scanner that can't read live data. It's like buying a ratchet and just 2 sockets. Fault codes give you an idea what the ECU thinks the problem is; the live data lets you diagnose it. I've had a Maxiscan for several years that was £70, a new one of that price even graphs the info for you. Spending a few quid more on one that reads ABS and other systems(even though the coverage can be quite limited) would be sensible too.
