It's already here!!! Chucking down snow and settled on everything except the road and pavement ::)

Considering it's chucked it down with rain all day I was quite surprised

too warm to snow down here :y

Having walked the dog for an hour in the rain at 4 degrees we then went over to the rugby club because our nephew was leading the first team out and mascot. Stood around there in the rain for about an hour too... By the time we got home (still chucking it down) the temperature had dropped to 3 degrees and we were frozen. Doggy was nice and warm though!

Well we have quite a covering, and despite recent rain the hard ground is dry, few cars at this time of night so it is laying, see what the morning brings..... ::) ::) ::)

This got me thinking, we have had a lot of snowy mornings where I have needed to brush off the snow, but very few frosty morning where I have had to clear the screen; strange that..... :) :)

As I look out of my window, I see these strange white flakes falling from the sky. It can't be snow, can it? The scientists said we wouldn't get it anymore.

From The Independent, 20 March 2000:

Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past

According to Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become "a very rare and exciting event".

"Children just aren't going to know what snow is," he said.

Bet he wishes he hadn't said it now.  ;) ;D ;D

This afternoon we've got snow flakes falling and bright sunshine at the same time. Chilly version of the April shower.

It's coming down horizontal here! Strong South Easterly wind making a chill factor of around -6, so damned glad my glass back is keeping me indoors! :y

Still snowing on and off here... The wind is the biggest issue for us as the little snow we've got is drifting!

Currently sat in the car park of a nursing home waiting for SWMBO and the snow is settling in the warm car! Been here about 5 mins and there's no evidence I drove in!

Been on and off here all day, pain in the arse. The whole town was gridlocked this morning because of a tiny bit of snow and one accident. Does my head in, as soon as the snow comes, most people forget how to drive  >:( >:(.
