Title: What is it?
Post by: MadMark73 on 12 March 2013, 23:00:49
Hi all. I've noticed on the dash of my miggy a small something. It is positioned right in the middle almost where the dash meets the windscreen. It looks like a small solar panel.

What is it and should it be there?

So does it need to be regassed then?

I didn't think dual climate control was the same as air conditioning. If so where is the pump?

Climate is posh for air-con, it maintains temp, air-con only cools...... :y

If the sun is coming in to the car on the drivers side, then the sun sensor will make the climate control feed cooler air to the drivers side, and leave the pas side unaffected, as I understand it.

My ss has failed I'm told...

You set the temperature that you want and set Auto, I drive a Jeep and all set to Auto, looks after in car heat and screen de mist, same as our Mig, that is what 'Climate' is all about..... :y

Solar sensor is a small black dome..

Think a picture may help of what you have...doesnt sound 'normal'  as is not what all these posts are talking about.

Just found this on ebay. It does have a cover on it.

Mine is missing the dome.
