Is this a known problem at all?
I get CDC error when I press the eject button.
Thought I would pop it out and take a look but that seems easier said than done - it won't budge!

I had to use a pair of pliers on the disc release tab to persuade my cartridge out ::)
-
Is that the little white tab?
Did it work after that, or was it a one way operation?
Thanks

No mate, I just coaxed it out and it's been grand ever since :y
If you can get the whole unit out of the dash, there may be a less forceful way of releasing the cartridge.
-
Thanks - will give it a go
I m struggling to get the whole unit out too - I had the keys but it just won't move!
-
I know, they're an absolute nightmare, and there is a tendency for the face plate to come off if you get a bit over zealous :D
-
I am having this trouble. It seems that there are a couple of issues. It looks like a cd or two are kind of out of the cartridge. I cant get the changer bit out at all. Even with the screws out and using keys, I cant remove the unit either. Did you get yours out?
-
It sounds like the cartridge is still expanded, in which case it wont come out. Youll need to remove the whole unit. It's a bit of a nightmare!
There is a guide in the maintenance section but it is hard work even with pins. I ended up pulling the fascia off by accident :-[

Oh dear, I think I might just have to put up with Radio 2 ::)
-
I think that might actually be worse than having to repair the fascia :o
There's obviously a knack to it, and decent / modified removal keys are a must.
Obviously I had neither ;D
