i have an issue with the headlight washers on my vectra cdx, ( i would immagine they are the same set up as an omega cdx or elite )
few days ago they died, i have checked the fuse which is fine, the windscreen washers are fine, fluid level is good, after some research i checked the headlight washer relay for any broken soldier joints, there were none, its like new inside. when the relay was out we connected a live feed to one of the terminals the relay plugs into and the headlight washers worked! - just to rule out the pump is ok, ( i have since noticed that the headlight washers and windscreen washers work via the same pump ) as i had the wheel arch liner out earlier for abit poke about the washer reservoir area in hope of finding something up but no, plugs etc all secure. Can anyone help me in this area ?
cheers

Sounds like possible dodgy relay then

right, took the plastic cover of the headlight wash relay, plugged it it, turned sidelights on, had someone skoosh the windows and i can see / hear the relay clicks on and of no bother So i take it the relays fine, as said previously when the relay was bypassed and a live feed connected the headlamp wash pump worked fine, could the relay still have a buggered side to it even though it clicks? or is the problem likely to be elsewhere?
cheers

Relays can still click and not work :y.

ok thanks, i will try a different relay then. i have asked in the omega section where this relay is located on the omega as ive been told it will still work on a vectra.

sorted! got a replacement relay from an omega elite today, £2 pounds well spent!
