Title: Fault code- throttle position sensor high voltage?? x20xev
Post by: PhilCavSRi130 on 16 March 2013, 14:33:03
Working on the wifes x20xev (valve stem oil seals etc) and its now thrown up tps sensor voltage high. Brought on the EML and the TC light. When I plug "My Naff Code Reader" it tells me on both engine and auto box that theres a fault with the TPS. Tried another TPS i have and still the same!!

Any advice gratefully received on where the problem may lie??

Sounds like you've pinched the wire while doing the head work.

Cheers Doz i'd thought that myself so checked the voltages to the signal wires this morning and im getting voltages at the 2 signal wires which adjust as i move the sensor as they should so im ruling out broken wire to the TPS at this point.
I hate electrical issues, mechanical i can deal with but electrical problems do my head in!!

Any other ideas guys?
