Took a couple of diesel cats to be weighed in to a new place a week yesterday and was told they would call me with a price in a few days. Anyway i've been a bit busy so forgot all about them until yesterday so I though I haven't heard off them so i'll give them a call. Spoke to a young lady and explained I had dropped off 2 diesel cats and 2 pre cats a week ago and I was supposed to have a call within a few days to tell me what they're worth. Young lady sounded in the dark but took my number and said she would call me back. So no call back yesterday and I was out early today so called back this afternoon and spoke to the young lady again to which she replied oh yeah, well give you £18 each for the cats and £8 each for the pre cats :o The last diesel cat I took in to a scrapyard in Wrexham was 4 weeks ago off a diesel pug and I got £40 for one. So I said forget it i'll have them back and take them to my usual place in Wrexham, the phone went quiet but I could hear her mumbling to someone, she came back on the phone to say sorry but your cats have already gone, how do you want paying >:(
Think my bum will be sore from this one for a while :'(

Agreed, Pete. I've often thought about dropping in on Steve for a cuppa and a chocolate hot knob.......but I know that the MV6 would be up on bricks by the time I left. :) ;)

Did you ask for a quote only? and then you would decide, if so I would ask for the difference and quote the other breakers!
Never know they may make an offer in order to get repeat business, not that there going to get that from you be the sound of it.
While Ive got you Pete, did you scrap the 157 wing in the end?, Chris.

I'd be inclined to tell them that they belong to you (you never agreed to sell to them!) and you want them returned

Yep. If they've already got rid of your cats I'm sure some others would be acceptable. You can then chop them in elsewhere. ;)

that is theft if they didnt have your permision to get rid of them id look in to that and have a word in there ear

Pop into your local nick and have a word.
Ask them if they can have a little word on your behalf ;)
And if your really evil like me, have a word with customs and excise too about your "concerns" that members of the public are being ripped off by them ;)
That's if you haven't taken the money that is :)
