So if your classic was built in 1973 you'll get free VED  :y
and SORN rules have been slightly relaxed

Thanks for that Andy

This bit caught my eye

"Government is also extending the grace period for displaying a new tax disc to 14 days following the payment of tax"  ???

I intemperate this as It will start to take up to 14 days to get your tax disc due to austerity measures and staff reduction  ::)

A magnificent thing ................... :y
Overe here in La La land about the only concession to motoring we have is the "vintage " motor tax system . cars over 30 years old qualify for a flat rate of €54 a year road tax . My toy car is a 3.5 Lt and if less than 30 years old would cost a staggering €1809 ( yep that's one thousand eight hundred and nine pieces of toilet paper ) to allow me to drive on the road for a year , and if I could only afford to pay for it six months at a time then € 2006 would be demanded.
How about that then.
Long may it continue for you all.....
