Morning all,
My wife has a 55 plate Focus estate (40000 miles). Had it a month already had a new coil pack.
Now I have a power steering leak-apparently the 1.6 Focus' are known for leaking pipes.
Had many Fords for many years and rarely had a problem-but now two problems in 1 month!
The first Omega I had for 9 years never broke down and only the HBV needed changing-although the Elite estate I had following this for two years did need an exhaust, coil pack, HBV and a gearbox fluid change.
The car was a trade in taken by my brother in law who is a salesman for Ford-the only good thing is I had it £1500 cheaper than I would have payed for a comparable private sale. Will have a look this afternoon (bit cold and snowy though) but is booked into a garage next week.
And to top it off my Range Rover has burned out another horn (a long story!)

Just wear and tare items really , had my fingers bitten many times with fords but of the cortina era where things in general rusted and fell off ;D

easy enough to do if you have a small air cut off tool. fittings about a tenner.

That reminds me!
Did have a 1982 Mk 5 Cortina 2.0GL-favourite day was when it got written off by a lorry reversing down the street. Neverv warmed to it after selling a 3.0 Granada for it-bought a 2.8 Granada with the insurance pay off.

Yep,done a few now,got to carefully cut off the old nut that sits in the pump and bolt the new fitting to the pump and snap the pipe into it,don't fit the nut to the pipe first as its nearly impossible to tighten up in situ :y

Funny you should say that-that's where the oil appears to be leaking from when I had a look.
