Post by: noel on 23 March 2013, 18:03:38
Having just replaced my front disc pads,i have found that the pad sensor has worn through giving warning on dash.As a temporary fix can i just cut through the sensor wires and join them both together to form a loop :-\. Will this action stop the warning message on dash till i aquire a replacement :-\.Sorry for the dumb question but auto electrician i am not ::)

thanks in advance  :y Noel

Yes, joining the wires will turn off the warning until you get a replacement.  :y

.....or a piece of wire poked in both of the connection holes.

As said, cut the sensor and join the wires...dont do the wire / paperclip jammed in the connector though...It will soon rust in.

This is my intended method and will wrap with tape to secure it from the elements :y
