As it says what is the component with the part with cable cover hanging off called?  Need to know so can ask if anyone has one, broke it today trying get bloody heater pipes off, rolling all over compartment and layed on it  :'(

Looks like a solenoid valve for one of the vacuum controlled systems.

What engine and what area is it?

Is there a part No on it?

4 litre, right hand side as you look at the engine, the tublar part has 90466214 on it

Assume its a 4 pot (not 4 Litre!!) - its a Vacuum Delay Valve

If you want to keep the secondary air system, I can give you the valve I removed from mine  ;)
