Noted.

As previosly asked, presume you have sent PM's to him as well as posting on the for sale thread?

Bear in mind that if he has not been on line then these will be unread meantime.

Mobile number, outside e-mail via profile etc?

Could just be an innocent oversight on his part, there might be a very good reason why he's not been in touch for a few days.

I recently purchased a couple of bits from Cockneyboy and being a real gent he posted them off before I had sent him payment. I forgot all about it until SWMBO staggered in with the package she had picked up from the parcel force depot, 5 days after it had been sent to me.

Needless to say I dropped him a pm immediately to apologise and posted him payment as soon as I could.

My thoughts are for a 14 day leeway on such matters.

This should cover most holidays, enforced visits to sick relatives, hospital residencies, house moves, computer explosions, bouts of bubonic plague and other similar excuses explanations that are oft used in such circumstances....

Even if people know they are going on a 2 week break, surely they don't sell parts so close before departure :o

True, but would also cover illness, enforced absences, last minute getaway deals from Teletext and similar.  Just trying to calculate whats late and whats substantially overdue, if you follow...

I agree, i think you should give it a couple of weeks, this is a standard delivery time with ebay and other sites, in reallity its only been 7 working days, depending on how he has shipped it, you paid on the 20th which was a sunday, i am sure he not run off with yer doh

Royal Mail will not consider a parcel lost for around three weeks! On the holiday front, in the past, I have stupidly listed something, forgetting that we would be away when it finishes ---- however an email explaining usually puts things right ----- this seller could at least explain any undue delays

Thanks people.

I sent an email to his paypal email and got a response saying that  he has had broadband problems and couldn't log into here or paypal.

He asked me for my address again, which I've given.

So hopefully I'll receive the bits soon :)

All so I seem to recall he just bought the Lotus Carlton, so he might be touring europe at the moment.

I collected the parcel this morning and sadly it wasnt the parts I had bought from the member in question.

Seems annother paypal refund is in order.

Last contact made on 29th April 2008, says he's posted the items.

Still not received as of today.  I think I've allowed plenty of time for even standard parcel delivery.

Have now gone through paypal, but i'm worried as its gone straight to escalation due to "seller not able to respond", i.e. hes taken the money and run :(

I`m saddened to read that Trebor; when this kind of thing happens it hurts us all, for what is the world without a bit of trust and good will?

I do hope you get your money back via Paypal and please don`t let the seemingly dishonest actions of this seller spoil your enjoyment of the O.O.F.  :y

Am in the same boat, as my above post shows, not heard from the seller or Paypal since.

At the end of the day if I lose £30 I put it down to experiance.

I just hope the guy is OK.  Remember this is the guy that was buying a Lotus Carlton off his brother.  He was very excited prior to his purchase so am hoping he just buggered off to tour Europe for a month and then comes home and puts us all in the picture.

Very true, but like I said in annother thread, If we pay by cradit card via Paypal.  We have 2 chances of a full refund.  So in theory we should be OK, not allways works that way in reality though.
