Title: 51 plate Vauxhall omega feels as if it's stuck in starting off aid mode

Hi there my name is James I've got a 51 plate Vauxhall omega 2.2 automatic petrol.

Over the past few days I've noticed that my vehicle is very slow in starting off And that the sports mode will not activate. 
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this?

Action tried so far., I've checked for loose wires.

Silly but have you got snow mode on? Button next to the shifter, with symbol of a snow flake

But doesn't it disengage each time its started up and goes back to normal mode  ???

No the snow flake light is off.
