Got my wheels aligned today and in the 15 yard drive from the back of the garage to the car park the fitter decided there was a problem with the steering rack. I haven't noticed anything but maybe I'm just used to my car.
Anyway, it'll take an hour to apparently diagnose any faults and then who knows what would be next :o
So in an effort to self diagnose any problems, is there anything I can look out for or check? Do Omegas even have steering racks?
TIA :y

Google A N Other local garage that knows what it's talking about ;) ;) ;)

My sentiments exactly ;D
On previous Omegas I've replaced usual bits including the steering idler, and I thought that's what he was going to say. I could have accepted that, but I admit I know nothing about the steering box.

I don't think there's much need to know much about them as they rarely give problems. ;)

That's what I thought!
As always I had a quick search first, and there is hardly a mention on the forum. It doesn't feature at all in the guides.

my 98 2.0ltr cdx did upwards of 250k miles with no steering problems once the rear tracking was squared up ! as said previously, try a second opinion.
