Suspension isn't my bag, but I'd imagine you'd need the weight off the wheels, making a two poster (chassis lift) better?

Four post as you can't get at the rear subframe bushes if you're using the rear jacking points :y
Front wishbone rear bushes arms need removing, so two post better :y
To add, rear subframe bushes can in theory be done on the ground :y

thanks for the advice will do it on the two poster and put my new poly bushes in it's about time I did them had them long enough now will try and take some pictures as well :y :y

Never say never, but the rear jacking point is the centre bolt that needs to be removed to get the bush out.
Never had the use of a lift so don't know for sure, but I'd of thought it would be a trolly jack and a stand job. If fitting polys you need to drop the subframe to get the the top pad in and out, so you need to hold to body up independently from the subframe. Difficult with a ramp or lift I'd of said.

thanks for the advice Chris going to try it on a two poster ramp jacked on the body and use a pole jack/gearbox jack for the subframe hopefully it should be ok but if not still got the option of the floor ;D ;D :y

Done the rear bushes on the two poster ramp both done in just over an hour :y

just the state of the bushes and slight play when I mot'd the car :y

Is Andy looking for a "before and after" description on the basic handling?

ride is now is a little firmer on the rear end and feels a lot more planted before it was still ok but had a little more body roll on the corners but I am very pleased with the outcome and would recommend replacing with poly every time, and not a bad job to do I found it much easier with the ramp, jacked on the sill jacking points and used a gearbox jack with the cradle removed to turn it into a pole jack to hold the sub frame up, and able to get a lot more leverage with the pry bar so the old bushes came out really easy. :y

Just wondered. Mine has a drumming noise through the car. Dependent on road surface.
