Hi all
I wondered if anyone has experienced a similar coolant leak to the one I have on my 2.6 v6 omega. It's not the usual 'heater exchange valve' - that been done.
There are two pipes coming into the central area of the engine bay from the dash. The bottom pipe is dripping coolant. Any ideas?
I'd like to know if this should be something I could replace myself or what the cost is likely to be at a garage.
Cheers
Matt

It sounds like the seal in one of the quick release couplings has failed. Odd because they usually last the life of the car :-\.
Is there any sign of leakage inside the car? ("No" is a good answer).
If you are capable of changing the HBV then you shouldn't have any trouble changing a quick release coupling.
These people in Harmondsworth http://stores.ebay.co.uk/OmegaSpareParts-Call-0770-6495877/PIPES-HOSES-/_i.html?_fsub=687591013&_sid=457771093&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/OmegaSpareParts-Call-0770-6495877/PIPES-HOSES-/_i.html?_fsub=687591013&_sid=457771093&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322) seem to get good reviews if you don't want buy new.

I'm not too far if you want to bring it around sometime this week. There are very few leaks on a miggy I do not have experience wth :-[

Thank you for the replies.

No leaks inside the car. 'Quick release coupling' sounds like a good description of what I am looking at.
Two identical hoses disappear into the rear of the engine bay (under the wiper area) one directly above the other.
Lower hose faces a yellow clip - small green clip loose around the lower outside edge on both hoses - coolant 'drip leaking from lower hose.
I've taken a pic but can't attach it to this posting.(http://)
