HI,
A friends 2010 Focus 2.0 TDci (136ps) with 31k on the clock. It's a non DPF car but fitted with the DW10 PSA/Ford engine and not the dreaded Tdci from the Mk3 Mondeo.
It's started hesitating/misfiring when doing between 35/40 in 4th gear. You can feel it through the drivetrain & the transmission does not like it at all. Also does it at other speeds in other gears.
The car has just run out of warranty and had it's 30k service by Ford about 6 weeks ago.
EML is not coming on during the problem, the car is quite happy to power through this and not down on power.
It was down to half a tank of fuel so - we just brimmed it with fuel from another garage to see if it was maybe a dodgy batch of fuel - but didn't make any difference at all.
Any ideas guys? I'm thinking might be EGR related?
Thanks - Rob

DMF :-\

I think I'd be pushing Ford to investigate/fix as it's only jet had a service there. Plus, being just out of warranty and such low mileage they might offer a courtesy donation!

Ford stealer is reporting widely fluctuating fuel rail pressure, all they need to do now is figure out why! At least it's a real fault ::)

A duff injector or two :-\

Sounds expensive whether its injectors or possibly fuel pump!
Can you get it to a diesel specialist?

Not a great deal it can be then, pressure sensor (wiring or sensor), iffy injector, faulty pump (not convinced on the latter as I would expect it to not make pressure in the first place)
