Depends how you drive it and where ... the car weighs in at around 2 tonnes .. so if you are accelerating it hard all the time it will use a lot of fuel.

If you drive it gently and at around 60 on a motorway around 30 mpg is easily doable

Around town like Fangio ... expect 12-14 mpg or worse.

2 biggest variables in fuel consumption .. geographical position and the owners right foot .. :)

Probably not much more, especially if an auto. A good service might eek  your mpg out to low 20s around town. Low to mid 30s should be possible if on a steady run.  :y

A 2.6 at a (legal) constant motorway cruise should easily be mid 30s. Ragged around local Cumbrian roads, esp if auto, you're probably not far off.

Depends on type of driving, if its an auto and only used in town and short trips? Yup sounds about right!

Manual and only doing long runs then no, should get close to 30mpg on a run like that.

Well the weighbridge is a calibrated affair so can't be wrong, mind you it was an Elite with the leccy seats etc so spose that adds up,I printed the ticket at the time but damned if I can find it now :-\

Rust must technically weigh more than sheet steel with all that added oxygen ::)

The 2.0 auto I used to have did about 18 mpg round town, on a run it did about 35 to 38. Its a big heavy car and the 2.6 engine works hard to move it.

According to the handbooks that come with the car the heaviest(kerb weight)is the Elite saloon with auto box, which comes in at 1808KG,this is for either the 2.5TD,2.5V6 or 3.0V6.The permissable vehicle weight then becomes 2340KG for the same vehicles. Please note that in the handbooks I have the 2.6V6,or the 3.2V6 are not listed.

The estates come in slightly heavier :y
