Ok as you know my miggy had a engine change-purrrrfect now-BUT my windscreen is seriously de-laminating on bottom corners
Well phoned Autoglass-£******* off then called Botley windscreens-£150 inc vat-so getting it done tomorrow-will put before/after picks :y AND before you say insurance-I got 150 excess anyway so no point in using it really :y

Is that the windscreen excess though? Its different from the main excess, most are around £75  :y

Yep my windscreen excess is £70

If you don't want to go through the insurance, Try an independant local windscreen service. They usually cost a fraction of the major ones.

My insurance excess is the same at £150,however the windscreen is separate from this and has no bearing on NCB and comes in at £60 excess.

I`m with Sheilas Wheels and my windscreen excess is £100.

Make sure the fitter has the proper rubber trims before he whips your windscreen out.  :y

Make sure the fitter has the proper rubber trims before he whips your windscreen out.  :y
just had my windscreen done this week. he reused my rubber trim but had new trims around screen. he said it was the easiest omega his ever done :y

Make sure you have some sanding blocks and rust cure ready if its anything like my old car , he refused to fit it unless i removed the rust  >:( Bottom corners of window posts bubbling ..

me yes loud + smelly-sorry about that-But no noise in car,in fact its quieter :o must be that new surround?
