Now the battery problem is sorted it appears the central locking is a bit upset, front doors work intermittently and at random when using the remote, is it possible they are out of sync somewhat?

Usually when out of sync, they don't work at all. However worth trying resyncing - its free :y

If they are even trying to work on the remote control then it's not a syncing issue.
Most common issue with central locking is microswitches in the motor failing.

My drivers door one seems to have called it a day lately, I press the fob and the door buttons(except drivers) go up then down.
So i therefore have to use the key in the door,which then opens the car.
But all indicators are flashing until key is turned in ignition.
Is this normal when the central locking microswitch motor fails :y

Yup, sounds like your alarm horn is knackered too.

Yup, sounds like your alarm horn is knackered too.
So putting aside that it sounds like my alarm horn is not working,why has the alarm been triggered in the first place.Ive only opened the door mechanically.

So putting aside that it sounds like my alarm horn is not working,why has the alarm been triggered in the first place.Ive only opened the door mechanically.
That's normal operation, using the key doesn't disable the alarm.

God knows but every Omega I've had has done the same.
It's so you can't disable the alarm by picking the lock. Needs either immobiliser or keyfob remote signature to be recognised. :y
