........ then what would you spend it on?
Genuine question, no poll, no hook, no admin/member divide.
Honest! ;D
iPad tops my ( completely computer illiterate ) wife's list as a start point as one of her workmates got one recently and, in wife's eyes, she is now an enviable computer legend.
Already got a mahoosive telly and blueray/hifi doodah thanks to my previous employers pension lumpsum but other ideas welcomed. :)

Oh, two dresses, a skirt or two, and the rest on shoes. £500 at least blown instantly in J.Lewis. I know because I have done it, and more in my time!! ::) ::) :D :D :D ;)
I would also add furniture, but once again my tastes are expensive, and even a small Nathan unit would wipe out the £500! ;D ;D ;D :y
PS Really you need £5,000 to do John Lewis justice :D :D :) :)

???????? I'm confused, Lizzie. :) :-* :-* :-*

Depends what I needed, but it would go on a gadget.
Big TV, decent sound bar, iPad or towards something like Macbook/iMac :)

Tried the skirt and blouse routine. Not giving up on a hard won beard of almost 30 years to satisfy my feminine side.
Already got the Nathan stuff!! ;D

Some of the stores have a good range of camera stuff. Lots of kitchen gadgets too.
-
I always try to use John Lewis for electrical as they price match !
Always a good range and knowledgable staff and no commissioned sales man to pressure sell ;)

Top notch coffee maker?
I rarely drink coffee now for health reasons, and that includes decaf, and wifey happy with one or two a week so would be wasted money. Thanks for the input though!
-
i would just give it to wifey and let her do as she pleases with it to be honest :y i would probably end up with several very loud shirts out of it ::) which would end up in the charity shop :)

I've just got 250 quids worth of JL vouchers and the plan was to put them towards a new Laptop. Then the missus got involved and instead within the next 4 days I've got a brand new dishwasher coming............................ Where the F did I go wrong :-\ :-\
-
I suppose that could be quite a dilemma. If we had the vouchers we would probably walk round the house and say "what do we need", not "want do we want". I am far from well off but don't really hanker for anything in particular. Would you use a tablet/ipad thingy ? I know it would just be a door stop to me.
I am up for a new mobile phone, could not really decide what I wanted, went in shop settled on what I thought I would like. Then discussed the contract with sales guy. Dealnot good enough so I said no and walked out of shop.
I suppose what I am suggesting is to replace something that is worn out or give yourselves a treat. :y
-
Well . . . . . . . ;)
A single bottle of Chateau Haut Brion 2007 will put you back over £400. That would knock a hole in your vouchers :y
(Yes, that is just one bottle, not a few cases) ::)
Now let me see, one bottle of wine or a laptop or iSomething pad ? or even something actually useful ?
EDIT
Just noticed 500 posts, I spend too much time here ;D
-
You should be selling them to me, as I can then use them and get 25% discount too, making the face value £625 ;D ;D
-
you seem to be struggling to make a final decision... if I were you, I would sell them to that fastandy chap for £100
-

male or female :o :o :o
Sorry to disappoint Loverboy, but most definitely female! :-* ;D
-
Any decision yet? Pity this wasnt about a few weeks ago, would have happily bought em off you at face value as had to get a new TV :( would have opened up your spending potential somewhat.
-
Still not made up our minds yet. Will probably go onto the website later and have a browse. See what pops into mind then.
