Title: Satellite dish experts
Post by: Taxi_Driver on 28 April 2013, 18:28:32
Ok ive been looking at the rules for installation of satellite dishs and tv ariels.

So ive learned that in a normal domestic house (not in a designated area) you are allowed two antennas (either 2 tv ariels or 2 satellite dishs or one of each)

One can be 100cm but the 2nd one must no bigger than 60cm

Now this is the bit i dont understand......Neither of them can be bigger than 35 litres....???

Is a 100cm dish or a 60cm dish 35 litres???

Oh and something else ive learned....if you have a tv ariel mounted on a long pole attached to a chimney stack....if the ariel is more than 60cm above the top of the stack.....thats a no no too.

But any ideas about the volume thingy??

They need planing permission if they are that size.......if someone complains to the local council they will either have to apply for planning permission or made to take them down  ;)
