Hi all
Just a quick question. I've been very careful with battery disconnections over the past few years to avoid having to enter the radio code.
Then overnight there must have been a short somewhere as the radio is now in safe mode and I don't have the code.
Before I pay £25 odd quid to VX or a online company - does anyone know of a cheaper option? I've got the radio out and am ready to go!
All the best
Matt

If as your profile the car is a 2.6 CDX, the HU should be a CCR2006, unfortunately these can only be de-coded "on the bench"

Hi Rob
Thanks for your reply.
CCR2006 is correct. Sounds like a call to VX is the best option then. A site www.radio-code.co.uk is says it could do it, but I don't trust it.
Only asking as friends with Fords have managed to get codes for around £5.
Cheers Matt

Not remotely or by serial number. As said "bench" de-coding only for the 2006.
Dave on here offers this service. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=2139
Only other way is to get shafted by VX for the carpass containing the code, but be advised that code on the card will be for the HU that was fitted at the factory so if yours has been replaced for whatever reason the code on the pass is worthless

OK
Thanks again. Its definately the original unit - so hopefully VX will do the biz.

Expect to pay anything between £18-50 for the pass. ID & V5 required
