Why is that only football matches seem to attract these brainless idiots?

You don't get this at Twickenham, Lords, Silverstone, Wimbledon...

What is it about soccer?

..and why aren't the police better equipped to cope?

Grrr.  >:( >:( >:(

'Cos

A) they are outnumbered
B) they are not allowed to
C) they shouldn't have to risk themselves over prats like that

My solution ?? spray the lot of them with a highly noxious indelible substance, then round them up inslow time over the following week when they are not in "crowd order"

When I saw the thread subject title I immediately thought it was referring to the players ;D

Seriously though, the footie-thugs (can`t call `em supporters) are always going to be a problem. :'(

I read about this in the paper. Apart from the hooliganism something which a senior policeman said worried me. He partly blamed Tesco for being open at 7am and selling cheap drink to further intoxicate the fans. Pardon! Its not Tesco's fault that the guilty fans can't hold their drink, how many innocent customers were in Tesco buying stuff on their way to or from work in a perfectly normal manner. As usual, excuses are made for peoples unacceptable behaviour, deal with the guilty minority not the innocent majority. Why must everyone suffer for the actions of a few?
