Title: Spanish F1 Grand Prix (spoiler)
Post by: Varche on 12 May 2013, 15:23:20
What a farce. The tyres scenario has just become a joke. And not a safe one at that.

Why not make a tyre that lasts justs four laps  and have fifteen or sixteen scheduled pit stops per race?

The only bit of excitement was Alonso making up places brilliantly on the first lap.

Do appear to be a bit of a joke, 5 stops in some cases.

All this bull about "going green" with V6 engines in 2014, all out the window with all the tyres they go through!

Nice to see Ferrari and Lotus on the podium :y Must admit the tyre situation is a bit of a joke, the only thing that stops the Red Bulls finishing first and second in every race.

Bring back refuelling stops  :y

One bloke to refill the car using 20 ltr jerry cans and a cut down cola bottle to use as a filter  ;D ;D
Team gets a 10 second penalty if the refuel bloke doesn't have a fag in his mouth at the time  :D

Now were is Bernie's number  ;D

Yep in my racing days tyres, even slicks, lasted a few races.  4 tyre changes in 66 laps - seems tyre technology is going backwards.  F1 used to be a testing ground for new technology to improve road cars!!

Still well done to Ferrari, particularly Felipe  :y
