Title: mpg on a 2.2
Post by: quoman on 13 May 2013, 00:52:47
hi all/just to ask whats the norm or average mpg anyone on here gets with a 2.2.reason i ask is.i had a vectra gsi before and got really good mpg.but this 2.2 omega seem to be a bit thirsty to say the least lol.and thats even drivin like miss daisy.and can anyone tell me are they bad for sumps.i bought the car just weeks ago and found out the sump was rotten.got a second hand one though off ebay so all was good.next question does the 2.0 exhaust fit ie single section cat back.just seem strange why they gave the 2.2 a twin centre section.

Auto or manual? Vectra will always be more economical, as its lighter.

The Eternal 2.0l exhaust fits fine, is well made, and cheap.

No specific issues with sumps.

Hi, Ive only had my 2.2 Elite for two weeks so I cannot give you long term experiancde of m.p.g. However, the trip computer indicates I am getting 33-38 around town and 45 on a 20 mile journey.
