here's the problem: got a brake drum on an ifor williams trailer. they are sealed unit bearings and try as i might, I cannot pull the drum off. I've tried a universal hub puller - that's not strong enough. It's been soaked in penetrating oil and walloped a lot as well. any ideas? Anyone within reasonable distance of coventry with a heavy duty puller that wants a challenge?
Any help is appreciated

Had a similar thing with a 3 series, hub would not pull out with any device at all, ended up removing the trailing arm and taking the lot to a local hydraulic guy with a 100 tonne press, even that only just shifted the bugger. Cost me 30 all in.

thanks both
the hub nut is off ( got 3/4 socket set to do that). problem with a press is that the axle is welded to the beam so it will not fit a press.
am currently stuck...

I've probably got this all wrong but wasn't an old trick to remove the wheel put a spanner behind it, remount the wheel and when tightened up it pulled the hub off? :-\

hmm, now that might just work. will give it a try.
failing that I guess i'll sacrifice the bearing

a slide hammer may help :y
