Sure it wasn't refrigerant to replenish the stuff lost from possibly leaking condenser?
-
Is their a difference then between the gas and the refridgenant then. I thought that was the gas

Nothing at all ??? ??? ???

Andy thats what i thought. Question do they have to drain the antifreeze(radiator) before removing and replacing condensor radiator. Invoice says 50 for air con gas. 28.75 for antifreeze and 30 for labour.

Yes you do .... the a/c condenser is right at the front of the car with the coolant radiator behind it. :y

28.75 is a bit strong for antifreeze though, normally £4-5 per litre and that should only need about 3lt for a 50/50 mix

I put 4.5 litres in mine. I was led to believe that the cooling system holds about 9 litres.
Ooops, Sorry. You're talking about a Datsun. :-\ :-\
