i can get hold ar35 as a replacement instead of a ar25 which as only done 66k miles could anyone tell me
if its just a straight swap or will it it need to go on a tech 2
 thanks

Straight swap. Use your existing 2.6 TCM :)

No, Transmission Control Module, which is the gearbox ECU near the bonnet lever.
-
so ar35 gearbox with torque converter from my 2.6 and thats it

If the Torque converter is with the Ar35 that you have then I would be tempted to use it,if your ar25 box is breaking up internally then filings/swarth could already be in the torque converter so fitting it to the new box may cause problems :y
