Mine isn't due until October so just being nosy thought I would have a nosy round, currently have a galaxy S2 with 3, am on their one plan (5000 txt's, 5000 3 to 3 mins and 2000 mins any network, plus unlimited internet) started at at £35 per month for 2 years but got a £5 monthly reduction because of poor reception where I live.
Just looking at the S4 on the one plan, cheeky sods now want to charge extra for ringing land lines, £37 PM and £49 up front cost. Don't so much mind the extra for a one off charge, but was hoping at least to get the new upgrade and carry on for a max of £30 (Same as I pay now)(to match it if I pay full price equates to£42 per month.
Any suggestions on deals for the same usage?
Can I transfer my 3mobile number to another service (Like Orange) who missed out on a 2 year contract because they wouldn't price match at the time.
TIA :y

You can change your number from 3 to any network.
If you give 3 a ring and ask for "retentions department", and ask for your "PUK" which is the
thing you have to give to your new network to transfer the number - takes about 2 to 3 hours maximum.
As an aside - be prepared for a series of increasingly attractive "discounts" to convince you not to leave 3
I've just signed up with "giff-gaff" - it's a PAYG which runs on the 02 network (but is a seperate company).
£20 a month gets you 1200 minutes, unlimited txts, unlimited internet and free calls to other giff-gaff numbers.
£15 a month gets the same, but only 400 minutes.
I'm paying a tenner a month for more than I was getting from 3 for 20quid a month (I had a sim-only contract with them) - when I wanted to leave 3, they offered to reduce my payments to 6.90 a month ::)
It's a shame they're such useless <censored>
You can order a sim here:

I get a £5 credit if you sign up using the link above - I *think* you get the same.

What you need is a 'PAC' code (Porting Authorisation Code) :y

Im in the process of leaving Vodafone, they have offered my a Free S4 or Experia Z for 29pm on one of there Red Tarriffs, Unlimited Mobile and LL Talk, Unlimited Text and 2gb Internet, 24mth contract which I was considering.
Having spoke to a couple of people with these phones now, I decided not to bother, the S4 is only 16gb memory, so by the time Samsung wack all there extra silly features on top of Android, your only left with a few gb's left for your Apps, Music and Videos. the 32gb Version is coming out soon. The Xperia Z I quiet liked for its Screen Size and expandable memory, but just couldn't live with TFT screen brightness, you have to really look at the screen head one which got worse under bright light.
Personally I think its the wrong time at the moment, to sign up on a 24mth and a 4g mobile contract, give it another 6 months and Vodafone, O2 will be launching there own 4G services, together with 3 (on the EE Network) and then the competition will start to crank up a bit and we should see some better deals to be had, not to mention more 4G mobile choice on the market.
When I declined the Vodafone Offer, they offered me a 12mth Sim Only deal, 600 Any mins, 750 Voda mins, Unlimited Text, 500mb Mobile Web and 1g WiFi for £10.50 a month, so being only a 12 month contract I dont mind dumping that halfway through or do an Upgrade in 6 months time.

But with NiffNaff, he'd have to front the entire cost of the handset, which is about £475 for a locked S4 I believe. NiffNaff makes sense with you don't mind fronting the handset cost, but not if you need to minimise initial outlay.
Additionally, NiffNaff do not allow tethering on Unlimited Data bundles (Goodybags/Gigabags in NiffNaff speak).
I should add, I use NiffNaff, as it works for me. The savings I made I put aside to fund a new handset (£600 to Jobs and co :()

I have just got my new phone. I got a Nokia Lumia 820 windows phone. Used to have HTC wildfire. Personally never really got on with android. Have done more with the windows phone in 3 weeks than I did with the android in 2 years.
Still wish they would put a bigger capacity battery in these smart phones. I would rather it weighed twice as much and lasted a realistic time.
