Title: This type of tensioner... how does it undo?
Post by: Webby the Bear on 27 May 2013, 12:10:59

it looks like an auto tensioner to me but someone on a Hyundai forum (the car its attached to) said it had two bolts and one was a slider and you moved the PAS pump up to tension it.  :-\

Is the arrowed one sprung? If not, its likely to be tensioned manually (by moving a component, usually alternator)

ok cheers tb.... I don't know yet. its a mates car he wants me to look at. I looked on google and the Hyundai forums but not much at all  :'(

some one posted this pic and it looks as if it would be a spring loaded one.... but as said someone mentioned the two bolts/sliding tension part.
