Opinions please.
1997 Astra, currently unused, been on the drive for 4 years. I ran the engine a couple of months ago, still good.
As it is on it's original cambelt, I think I should change it. ::)
My question is, should I change the waterpump at the same time, considering that despite it's age, the engine has only covered 16,000 miles. :-\

I'd be more worried about the suspension bushes, and brakes seized on, and wheel bearings rusted, and fuel and oil gelled...

Yeah i would seeing as they are not that pricey anyway and piece of mind also , seeing as your doing the cambelt its easy enough to change the w/pump while your there :)

If its been parked up for that long I would get it checked over before spending any money on it get the local garage or some one who knows what they are doing maybe a pre mot it could need a lot of time/money/parts :)

+1,I can see a full brake overhaul being needed for starters :y
