Hi All I have a 2002 omega 2.2 ecotec. It is the most unreliable car i've ever owned. In the last 6 months it's had a new exhaust manifold, cat ,head off and new studs fitted Head was machined and pressure tested refitted with new timing belt kit. Its had a new throttle body and egr valve. Went for a run done 300 miles then car stated to hesitate and was trying to stall very hard to start and keep idling. Had a mates code reader on it today Code P0301 and P1700 showing. car is not misfiring as per 0301.

Faulty cam sensor is the most common cause of trouble on the 2.2 petrol engines.

Hi mine had the same trouble and it was lambda front sensor nearest the manifold.....hard to start...sounded like a machine gun...ran like a pig....but that cured the problem.. :y
