Title: Handbrake shoe pins
Post by: megaomega123 on 01 June 2013, 19:09:48
Have a problem whereby the handbrake shoe retaining pins no longer stay in the holes. The holes on the dust plate that the pins go through have opened up and become too big to hold the pin lug.
What can I do to rectify this other than changing the whole hub?

weld or epoxy a slotted washer in place?
A new backing plate would be best, but it is a lot of dismantling, and the pins aren't under much strain

Good thinking batman. I could use one of the spring caps that comes with a fitting kit. I love this forum for bouncing an idea  :y :y

You're welcome Robin.
Now mix up some Batglue, and get to work!
