How about having a friends list maybe members living close to you that you could see are online at any particular time. Maybe a drop down box so you could get in touch with :) This is a great site by far my favourite and you guys are doing a brillant job,even got my sticker today looks brilliant ;)

I think with the new version of YaBB there is a buddy list...
