your ABS sensors are on the back of each front wheel hub & on the wheel end of each rear drive drive shaft.
The ABS ECU is incorporated into the ABS modulator under the bonnet ..... pretty sure there's a maintenance section guide over removing it to send away for repair.  :y

Probably just a sensor :-\ Not sure if it does it, but would specific codes come up with a paperclip check :-\

Money on the front N/S sensor :-\

More likely to be an ECU issue :'(

Thing is for the Speedo output, the ABS ECU takes an average from all four wheels, so as long as at least one sensor is working then the Speedo should work normally. Any numberof possibilities would put the light on, only one will upset the Speedo :'(

If its post 1998 (ie, MFL or FL), my first bet would be ECU.

Note, the ECU failure (when still intemittent) can leave speedo and MID working fine.

Worth plugging into Tech2 if you have one, and looking at speed signals, but as my dear old father used to mutter, something about urinating into headlong force 9.

Has anyone used BBA reman for an ABS ECU repair?
my one needs done have used them before for a clocks repair on a TT and they were good, not tried them for this.
Also am I sending the ABS block plus the ecu for repair or just the ecu?
