It's a roll of the dice really.

You got any alternate such as a car trailer or closer test station?

MOT place just up the road, she was going to the caravan (Static)  from home and take my car from work; I could make her wait till I come home and just take my car..... :-\ :-\

Just realised why I got a missed call from the Garage about a week ago.... :-[ :-[ :-[

3rd part only or road traffic act as a bare minimum, after all your car may be perfectly roadworthy, all the mot  proves that it met certain criterior at the time of the test

I always thought one of the conditions of insurance was that the vehicle had to be road legal?  ???

Therefore No MOT = No Insurance  ::)  :-\
