Title: Not putting into the for sale section yet but
Post by: Danny on 04 May 2008, 16:56:51
Due to the possibility of me picking up a new car in a very short while, my LPG elite may well be up for sale very soon, the reason i dont want to use the for sale section yet is because i'm unsure of the price of it, and also once its back from the garage the LPG system may well be running properly

after buying it and spending some cash to get it straight on the road, it stands me (including the LPG conversion) at about £4200  (:-[) and i'm potentially open to offers, especially since at the moment the LPG isnt running right. but for anyone who's interested its got less than 75,000 miles on it, and will be due a cambelt in about 5k (taken into account on offers) since it was done at 41k, it also has full stamped service history, mot til august but wont pass with its rear shocks leaking, taxed til end of jan 2009!

its a 2001 Y nocturno blue metallic 3.0, full cream heated leather and all usual elite refinements, plus an irmscher grille that i bought brand new last year

another reason for me not putting in for sale section is that if i dont get the car i'm looking at, i wont be selling this one yet

I should add that this will be selling for a considerable loss to me financially

What month in 2001?  I may be interested if you do decide to sell.  Good luck with your acquisition  :y

I know what your thoughts are, and tragically its a late registered one, march (hence Y reg)

it would be selling for considerably less than £3000 if the car i'm looking at hopefully tomorrow comes good, and bear in mind its good mileage, full history and tax til end of 01/09

believe me i do NOT want to part with this car  :'(

what might the replacement be Danny

a corsa 1.2

i have no trouble affording the omega and its running costs, but i plan on a major change in circumstances, i.e. a house, and really need to save every penny i can get, hence a cheap to run and cheap to maintain car and even if my car could fetch more, i'd need to get a quick sale because i'd have nowhere to keep an uninsured car

cant argue with the logic ,there cant be that many cheaper cars to run than a 1.2 corsa Good luck Danny :y

test drove the corsa SXi today that i'd been looking at recently, 02 plate, full history, tax and mot to feb 09, and 45,000 miles on it, and also black, with a sunroof that most SXi's dont have!!

engine sounded sweet, car was very tidy, gear box and clutch were F***ED!!!!!!!!!

;D keepin th'omega til end of september i think, unless a better running corsa pops up!

Miggy, is your daughter or wife selling her corsa at all? ;D

well it was advertised as having panels replaced due to someone "reversing into it" which i took into account, it had the 2004 front bumper. as soon as i got there i lifted the bonnet to check for metal work damage, being as i've had a minor bump in my first car which was a corsa and replaced the same parts he claimed to have replaced on his, but while driving at 30, when i lifted off the accelerator the gearstick jerked back over an inch, i thought it was gonna fall out of gear, it jerked forward when i pressed the accelerator back in, and the gears didnt line up at all where they should have, i've driven corsas before, and even combo's that had been hammered but this sxi was no joke!!! not to mention i had to have the steering wheel at 1 o'clock to keep it in a straight line ;D

minor bump my arse!!

i damaged my own corsa 3 years ago and only had to replace bumper bonnet and a headlight, if this had been all that was replaced on his car and it drove perfectly i'd have definately had it!!

keepin my eyes open for another, but no rush at all!

That thought had passed throught my mind when you first mentioned selling it, the CDx still needs a bit more cosmetice before it is worth full money
