Had a parcel to post. It was quite heavy at 2.4 kg but I got a couple of quotes on the net from couriers and expected to pay around £5 or £6. I was working and my son said he would help out by taking it to the PO. I told him to take the cheapest option as I expected it to be slightly more expensive than the courier. God love him he just paid the quoted (cheapest) price at the counter. How much?
£13 !!!!!!!! >:( >:( >:(
Absolutely gutted! If he'd contacted me first I wouldn't have let him post it.
I'm a little ashamed and embarrassed that I let him take it in the first place, but I'm really cross at the difference in price >:( >:(
Sorry, rant over :-[

Anything over 1Kg, forget the Royal Mail, as you`ve now learnt

Well, he is quite a big bloke :y. But yes, as opposed to a motor bike.

I've heard the Royal Mail is unable to compete on price due to restrictions imposed by the government. ???
Tho' I rarely need to use it, I'm lucky I can use my work's account to send up to 30kg on a Next-Day service for £5.50 via DPD.
