Title: White Dials
Post by: RobG on 18 June 2013, 19:11:58
Just fitted these overlays. Unfortunately only available for the superior 4-pots ;D
I now wait for the opinions of the "ego massaging" V6`ers ;D ;D ;D :D

Nought wrong with the 4 pot. Not the quickest up to speed (esp auto), but a pleasant cruiser, if somewhat lacking in any extra power whilst cruising. Quite a good little engine if serviced properly :)

The dials aren't my thing though, but thats what makes us all unique.

I actually like them. Think they need chrome surrounds like Mick Dundee's though.

Not for me; black dials with white numbers and needles are the way to go. And they're standard!
I've just spent £260 on three Smiths Flight gauges for the Avenger, as I've always liked the military spec dials.

Looks ok Rob, I have a what looks to be similar White Dialled Dash for a V6 kicking around somewhere, fairly sure there the same.

Apart from the 160 mph bit.  ;)

Where's the warning lights
Can be seen if not in direct sunlight, and are easily visible at night with panel lights on.

Catera uses the UK 4-pot speedo and tacho

Needs a few more digest on the speedo

On the dash is one of those "non-slide" satnav holders so instead of a charger lead coming up from centre ashtray I just wired an extra socket in the trim

Both SRi and GSi and turbo and coupe and convertible  ;D ;D and I am just in the process of fitting a set to my youngest sons 1.6 5 door hatchback

Oh and not to forget some had silver rings and some had black rings arounf the gauges, and there is also a grey and black background available. All this from differing years and models. Omega did not have much choice did it  ::)
