I registered my interest with Vx in regards to the launch of the 'all new' Insignia at the British International Motor Show in London on July 22nd 2008.
I have just recieved a simple introductory brochure on this car which gives brief details of, I quote:
"....three petrol engines - from 140PS to a 260PS V6, and two new 2.0 litre direct-injection diesels - 130PS and 160PS. All Euro 5 compliant and all with six-speed transmissions-manual and auto"
For the engine experts amongst us: is this of any great interest / excitement or just a follow on from the current Vecta offerings? :-/ :-/

Got the same through on thursday. Looks like a 3 series with the wrong wheels driven. Might try the V6 4WD version out but I doubt it will be a patch on a RWD Omega.
Still, when I can afford to replace the Omega I guess all cars and petrol will have been banned in this country ;D

cars will be running on water, and water will then be priced at £12 per litre, and they'll tax us for some other bull**** reason instead of emissions!!
i really like the look of the new insignia, but part of me thinks that i wouldnt be so struck by it if they'd just called it a new Vectra, which basically means by re-naming it, they get far more interest because it leads us to believe it's completely new as opposed to being a replacement
the signum is basically a hatchback Vectra...

That's that dodgy after shave my aunt keeps giving me for Christmas, isn't it? ;D
Looks nice but you know it's the same old FWD repmobile underneath. :(

From what I can gather, the V6 engine they're putting into this is a non-turbo VXR lump.
That sounds a bit tasty 8 years from now ;)
