Title: WANTED: F/L Auto Saloon
Post by: Jabe on 18 June 2013, 20:16:32
Hey,

Well just last month I was really interested in one of the cars for sale here on the forum. It was a (nearly) one owner 2.6 that only needed a bit of work to the rear caliper or something, so it was an excellent find. Well I just found out it sold (for £400!!) and all because I failed to realise my inbox was full and the poor guy couldn't message me! GRGH!

So anyways, I'm on the hunt again for a cheap Omega to take me across Europe. Planning on driving to Greece via Italy and then over to Istanbul next month. After that it won't be driven untill we return.
I recently drove a 2.2 Auto and I must say it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be coming from a V6 (never floored it so normal driving was not shabby.) so any engine would do. I'd actually prefer a 2.2 for the trip now. :)

2002 51 Plate 2.6 Auto Saloon, Silver CD, MOT till Dec 13, Tax till end of July, mileage 107K, drives well, fairly good condition in and out, just replaced the Oil Cooler, so will have Oil Change and Coolant when the flushing is finished.

Will be looking for around £650 ono as it stands at the moment.

Cheers Chris.

I wll have a good condition, low mileage one for sale, ideally in Aug but could let it go next month as you need it then. Havent decided on price yet but around ~£2k

Hey SMD.

On a serious level I'm after a comfy cruiser to take me there and back without breaking down, that's pretty much all really :)

2k is definitely out of budget however I am planning on dropping that much on an Omega when I do return as I just absolutely love these cars. Not exactly an E39 but pretty darn close with about half the problems!
