Title: Astra G (03) alarm horn
Post by: Big_Al on 19 June 2013, 18:57:28
Can anybody help with the location  of the alarm horn on this model of Astra.2003 2.2

story is that the alarm is going off in the middle of the night , sometimes 2 or 3 times . the owners neighbours are now preparing a  "Lynching party  " :o :o :o :o

I presume it is the failing power sounder battery problem , which i think is located under the N/s front wheel arch liner  & have told the guy I will remove that to see what effect it has .

He says "do  anything . . .  just  stop the bloody thing going off " :o :o

He's asked if i can remove the alarm horn itself  . . .and there by is why this question is being asked .

So  . . . A .   is there a separate alarm horn ?    & B.    where will it be hiding ?

I have told him the usual "insurance" may not be valid if stolen etc.  with this alarm horn or the power sounder battery removed .

Any input from you guys on this ?

TIA     Al :y

The sounder is up in the back corner of the front left wing. You'll need to pull the wheel arch liner out to reach it
