Crack open the pipes you are going to change then put brake pedal to the floor and hold it down while you replace the pipes,it will stop the fluid loss(other than the initial pump to floor) :y

So you don't rate the old cling film over the reservoir cap then?

Always used the clingfilm method when swapping cylinders/calipers :y  As well as then capping the pipes removed with a "custom made" fitment ;)

Discussed the with Andy P a while back. He rekoned no action required, just un bolt them and fit the news one, bleed, jobbed. Not done the job yet myself. Intend goodridge braided at some point.

I think there's a north / south translation barrier here  ;D ;D

The Captain is talking about the rigid pipes that go front to rear ....... you're talking the flexi hoses  ;) ;)

Indeed Andy, seems like it's going to be a cut and join job when himself works out how to use the portable flaring tool from work.

I have some small bore pipe benders somewhere if you need/want to use them.  :y

Andy can you translate ? I got the cut and join bit. :-\

I may have cause to move the abs pump, and was wondering if joining was acceptable tbh. :y

Seems it's a common enough repair technique Chris and acceptable to the MOT man as they do it at the garage TG works at.

I would just seal up the reservoir cap and crack on. I doubt the fluid will move much as the ports on the ABS block all point upwards.
