Hello everyone!
I need an opinion on multiplug for 2.0 16v IACV.
The car doesn't want to idle for more than a few seconds and immediately shuts off. Of course, holding my foot on the accel. pedal keeps it alive but even if I keep my foot on the accel. pedal for couple of seconds revs start to drop significantly followed by rough misfire and engine shaking. If I restart the car, the same happens, it runs fine for 3 or 4 seconds and then shuts off.
I just checked voltage delivery on the multiplug for the IACV and readings on one of the pins were 12.6 Volts and on the other it read only 2 volts. Somehow I have a feeling that it is NOT correct voltage at least on the second pin which read 2 volts. Does anyone know what are the correct voltages on both pins for the IACV multiplug? Please, I really need your help.

That was the first thing that came to my mind. But then I checked the wiring and read the voltages mentioned above so I need some genius to confirm correct voltages for the IACV. I am sure one wire should be delivering 12 volts but what about the other one? In this particular case I am getting 12.6 and 2.1 Volts.

voltages are correct---so not wiring--you need to clean ICV ;)

The bloody thing has been in and out of the car for ultrasound cleansing several times but to no avail. The best I got from it, is actually current situation. Couple of seconds of steady idle and that's it. Oh well.

carefuly open sliding valve-do nut break it----then put some light oil in there---not much--2/3 drops no more--the flap opens by sliding round---hope you understand me--can piccie if needed-ok :y

If you think it may be the IACV itself, pop down to your local breakers and see if you can pick one up cheap. Swap it over and see if it helps.
Picked mine up for £10 from the breakers, fixed the problem right off.
