In the last few weeks my mig has decided sometimes that it doesn't have enough power to start. It seems to start every morning fine but sometimes after it has been stopped it turns once and the battery is dead even after a good run. Its literally one turn and then no power at all. There are no fault lights coming on and it starts again with the smallest push. Now this evening the hazard lights have started going off a few times,( I've already removed the power sounder). Could a loose terminal or a faulty connection cause this or is it a sign that my battery is too long new?

Worth getting the battery checked first. Then a volt drop check on the crimp connector of the battery terminals.

Maybe. but I would expect an old, tired battery to struggle most with the first start :-\
Well worth checking for frayed battery cables (the wires break up where the terminals are crimped on).
I have had a battery that seemed fine first thing in the morning but gave up in stop start traffic on a roasting hot day. Maybe heat is the last straw for old batteries :-\

I'll have a look in the morning then. I take it the alarm going off is related to the battery being temperamental?

Yes
