Had a pile of dust sheets which were... er... very dusty ::), so I took them outside to shake them out and plonked them on the bonnet of The Merc which left a big pile of dust on the car.... :(
I went and got a bucket of water to wash it off and thought it would be a good idea to give the windscreen a scrub at the same time, as I couldn't see where I was going.... ::) So I washed the dust and crap off the bonnet and then splashed some water over the windscreen and..... " Craaaaack!!!! " :o Big crack appeared 3/4 up the screen right in the middle of the steering wheel!! :'(
Buggery to 'dangle berries' !!!!! >:( >:( >:(

Sorry to hear about your windscreen, what caused it to suddenly crack?

Cold Water on hot glass I suspect, probably a small existing chip that let go :-X

Yep!! Hence Doh!! :-[ Although there is a small chip nearby the crack came from the bottom edge under the rubber ...
That's never happened to me before, even in the winter pouring hot water on a frozen screen.... :-\

Had that the other way round - freezing cold, opened the drivers door (Carlton GSi) to get scraper, shut drivers door and rear screen just "imploded" into car.

Blimey I've just been thinking about how bad luck comes in threes and things I'll be doing in the next few days.... :-\
Firstly, I've got to paint a deep stairwell, which means ladders, heights and long drops.... ::)
Secondly I'll be getting on an aeroplane next week..... :o
Oooooo Uuuuurrr..... ::) Not that I'm superstitious at all you understand... ::)
