Mmmm. You're making me hungry. Didn't bother with sarnies today - customer visiting = free lunch. Free lunch was not up to expectations though. :'(

I always put grated parisjan cheese in the sauce once it has started to reduce along with lots of fresh basil and fresh tomotoes.... yum

Never tried pesto in lasagne but i'll give it go.
Don't forget Moussaka. Just substitute Lamb mince for Beef & aubergine for pasta....mmmmm..... :P

I must admit, I do a mean cottage pie.
Never had a bad response.
I usually make a pie which would easily feed four adults.
Divided into quarters I have one swmbo has one, she gets little helpings throughout the night and hey presto!
No more cottage pie.
Even all family and friends end up with clean plates.
Not too bad for a guy. ;)

What's the difference between Cottage & Shepherds pie? I can & do cook sheppies pie & everyone loves it, but i'm not sure how the two differ. :-/

cottage-beef mince,shepherds-lamb mince ?,dont take it as gospel as i cant even boil an egg ;D

Martin. In full agreement with butchers mince, sausages, bacon, steaks & roasting joints etc. Only one butcher left in Immingham now but he's a proper butcher, makes his own pies, sausage, chick/m'room, game, pork pies & more, all home made, plus he has rabbits pheasants, venison + more.
Nice to see a real butcher still going. His Lincolnshire bangers went down well at last years Lakesmeet..Bob cooked 'em...!!! :y
